One of the most popular modern combative sports globally, Judo is an Olympic sport that primarily focuses on techniques to bring your opponent to the mat using throws and trips.  From the original style of judo, several related forms have evolved—including Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Sambo. Because Judo is practiced with the Gi (Kimono), it is the most effective form of takedowns for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu competitors. Judo techniques can also be adapted successfully for use in wrestling and Mixed Martial Arts.
