Reed was a wrestling state champion in high school. He went on to wrestle in college at UC Davis, where Reed was coached by Lennie Zalesky, Mark Munoz, and Urijah Faber. After college, Reed transitioned from wrestling to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and submission grappling. In 2016 Reed was awarded a black-belt from Coach Marcus Bello.
MARCUS “BOQUINHA” BELLO
Judo Instructor / BJJ Instructor / GFTeam Blackbelt
Marcus started practicing Judo when he was 6 years old, receiving his Judo black belt in 1992. Marcus began training BJJ with Master Julio Cesar in the early days of Gama Filho (the team that would become GFTeam), earning his black belt in 1998. Bello is famed for his exquisite top game with which he defeated many big names of the sport, including legends like Tererê and Marcelo Garcia. In 2016 Marcus was the black belt champion in his division at the IBJJF Masters World Championships.

Eduardo Barboza began training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu at 14 years old in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. In September of 2016 Eduardo received his black belt from the hands of Master Julio Cesar leader of GFTeam. Eduardo has multiple adult IBJJF including a World Title at purple belt, and second place at brown belt.

Chris is a 2x Ohio state place winner in high school, and went on to wrestling in college where he was a part of the starting team at Ohio University. Chris was an Assistant Coach at St. Thomas HS 2013-2014. Chris is an active Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Submission wrestling competitor and holds a purple-belt.
Thomas was a national prep all-American for St. Thomas High School in Houston, TX. He went on to wrestle in college for King College and John Carroll University. Thomas is also an active competitor in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and holds a purple-belt.
