Last night we participated in Combat Sports Coverage - Submission Only.
There were 8 great teams, 3 vs 3 Team Duals for $2k cash jackpot.
Our team is represented by Reed Shelger, Ataíde Rafael and Pedro Rubin.
Our first duel was against Team B, a war that we started losing 1 x 0, we drew 1 x 1 with a submission from Ataíde and we went to 3 fights with everything and managed another submission with our veteran Reed, thus closing the first round in 2 x 1.
Semi-final - We faced Legends BJJ where we managed 2 to 0 with two good submissions from Pedro and Ataíde.
Final - We had a great duel against New Wave. The war started because they had an injured athlete in the semi-final so they would have to make it 2-0 to win. They made it 1-0, we drew 1-1 and we should have won because the 3rd athlete was out. Several alternatives were created that were not in the rule and we did not agree. Unfortunately, the organization invented at the time that one of their athletes would fight again and even though they were right and didn’t agree with what happened, we fought and our athlete Ataíde ended the night with a great submission right at the beginning of the fight. Paradigm Combat Sport / GFTeam Champion in 3 vs 3 Team Duals.
The night wasn’t over, we even had our athlete Pedro Rubim doing a Super Fight to end the night. Pedro, even after 3 very tough fights in Team Duals, ended the night with a submission from the back in the Super Fight. Incredible night of lots of learning.
Thank you to the event organizers for the invitation and the great show.
Thanks to all the teams present and athletes who showed great Jiu Jitsu. Congratulations to our athletes who were truly incredible.
